• The Tan Cabana uses a very high grade sunless tanning solution containing DHA custom blended for your skin tone and desired look. DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is a sugar based derivative that reacts with the outer layers of your skin to create a natural looking tan. It has been approved by the FDA for over 40 years. Our solution contains cosmetic bronzer used to give you immediate color. 

• Please note: It is normal to see the cosmetic bronzer wash down the drain when you take your first shower. It is only intended to be used for immediate color prior to your tans development. It is also used as a color guide for our specialists.

• The combination of our top of the line equipment, quick drying solution, and a highly skilled technician make sunless tanning a breeze. A full airbrush tan can be completed in around 5 minutes! You can anticipate on your appointment time being around 20 minutes in total.

• You can wear as little or as much as you would like. If you do not want tan lines you are welcome to skip undergarments (Male clients are required to wear boxer briefs or swim trunks). Note: Our solution contains cosmetic bronzer. Although the bronzer is water soluble and washes out of most fabrics it can stain leather and nylon. We recommend wearing loose dark clothing after your session. No jeans, yoga pants or tight tops, we like maxi dresses! 

• Please always wear or keep a pair of flip flops handy for your airbrush tanning session. Not only is this a sanitary measure but also ensures the tan on your feet does not smudge from closed toe shoes

• Rain Note: If it is raining the day of your appointment, it is recommended that you bring an umbrella and/or wear protective clothing - such as long pants, long-sleeved shirts and a sweatshirt. We provide umbrella service to all of our clients, however it is best to have an umbrella handy for once you arrive at your destination.

• Spray tanning only affects the outer layer of skin.  As your skin cells naturally shed, the spray tan will gradually and evenly fade revealing your original skin tone. Your spray tan should last 7-10 days, Proper skincare before and after will directly effect the length of your tan. Moisturizing is the key to maintaining your tan.  With the use of our extender products your airbrush tan can last an additional 3-5 days!

• We recommend tanning the day before a special event or occasion. If possible, schedule your appointment in the evening before and wait until the morning to rinse off. This gives your spray tan time to develop with little risk of accidental smudging or transfer of product while you are sleeping. Also, please keep in mind your entire pre-event beauty plan when making your appointment. Facials, massages, hair appointments and exfoliating manicures/pedicures are best done before tanning to prevent uneven wear of your tan.

• Be sure to shower, shave and exfoliate the day before your airbrush tanning session. Do not shower right before your session. Soaps, Hair conditioners, and shower products can leave an invisible film on the skin that can repel the tanning solution. Showering right before your session can also hydrate your skin causing the tan to develop slightly lighter.  Avoid applying any lotions, oils, or perfumes before your scheduled airbrush. This allows for the solution to have the greatest impact with natural skin, and absorb the best. 

• Add our Pre-Tan Primer: Try our Pre-Tan Primer. Even after showering there can still be an invisible film on the skin from soap, shampoo and bath products, These things can create a barrier preventing the sunless tan from developing in certain areas. Using our prep spray can help ensure that the skin is clean as possible and help prevent developmental issues from the skin not being primed!

• Do not have any activities planned after your tanning session that would cause you to perspire or get wet in any way. Do not go swimming or be exposed to the rain as this will cause the tanning solution to run and look uneven when the activation takes place. You must wait at least 8-12 hours after your session to shower with our Classic Tan and need to rinse between 1-4 hours with our Rapid Tan. 

• Please Note our Rapid Tan IS time sensitive. You must rinse off the tan within the 1-4 hour time frame. Our Rapid Tan allows you the convenience to rinse off the solution sooner, however the rapid tan still takes a full 8 hours to fully develop. The rapid tan is great because after your first rinse you will not have to worry about product transfer!

• Please note our cancellation and no show policy. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy and a 15 minute no show policy. If you do not cancel within 24 hours or do not show up to your appointment there is a $25 fee that will be charged/applied to your next visit. Please note that our appointments run in 15 minute intervals so if you are running late your appointment may be forfeited. Please call and let us know if you are running late so we can accommodate you the best we can.
